Geologically the area consists of:
a. volcanic rocks, that are cohesive and varying in terms of chemical compositions, covering the larger part of region from North to South. b. To the south, in a considerably smaller extent, appears a system of plutonia rocks (granites and granodiorites). These rocks are compact and bare a fine network of craquelure, as well as humification to a small depth.
