The Church: It was erected in 1905, on the site of an earlier and smaller church, probably built in 1835, after the disastrous earthquakes of 1829, under the Metropolitan Eugenios of Xanthi.
It is a three-aisled basilica with a semicircular niche and a modern gallery. The surviving wall paintings on the sidewalls were made by M. Dimopoulos, an icon painter from Adrianople.
The iconostasis, made in 1905-1906, contains 12 portable icons created initially in 1835 and then in 1903-1904 by M. Dimopoulos, an icon painter from Adrianople.
A Gospel dating from 1893 is kept at the church.
