A live part of the modern history of Avdira that is also a characteristic sample of its rich cultural heritage, is hosted in a renovated neoclassic building that was built in 1860. It is the Folklore History Museum of Avdira that has exhibits dated between 1860 and 1950 and concern agricultural life and weaving art.
Hand made weft-knitted embroidery, local costumes, carpets, domestic implements, small pieces of furniture, tools used in various occupations of old times etc. All the exhibits were donated by the habitants of the area.
